Army Specialist Richard T. Davis survived one of the bloodiest battles during America’s
initial invasion of Iraq. So savage in fact, it is now known as the “Midtown Massacre."
But on July 14, 2003, within hours of his return to Ft. Benning, he was mercilessly tortured and
murdered. His body was set on fire and left in the Georgia woods. Months later, four
members of his own platoon were arrested for the crime. Since that time, controversy and conflicting theories have plagued this case.
Although this story has received international media attention, including a 48 Hours episode and serving as the inspiration behind the Paul Haggis film, In The Valley of Elah, until now, no source has come close to revealing the full details of this case.
Murder In Baker Company, The Forgotten Soldier is a probing, detailed view behind the killing of Army Specialist Richard Davis.
