Cilla McCain

About the Author

Cilla McCain has spent countless hours researching all available information about the

brutal murder of Richard Davis. She has utilized contacts within the legal community, and

continually pours over thousands of documents ranging from police statements to court

transcripts, as well as Army investigation reports.  She's also reached out to psychologists

across the country who specialize in the field of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to gain a clear

and concise understanding of its' effects and how it may or may not relate to Murder In Baker

Company.

In addition to her research within the professional community, she has also interviewed

over a hundred people, mostly Richard's fellow soldiers. These people have been able to

provide her with a well-rounded view of the environment surrounding Specialist Davis’ time in

the Army. In particular, the bloody events surrounding the invasion of Iraq.  This has greatly

assisted the progress and development of Murder In Baker Company.

To Cilla, what started out to be a book chronicling a horrible crime, very early on turned into

a personal mission. She works daily with the victim's parents, Lanny and Remy Davis and has

developed a close relationship with them in the process. Helping them to start The Richard

Thomas Davis Foundation for Peace. www.richarddavisforpeace.com  with which she

remains very involved.

Cilla McCain has interest in working within all genres of the literary field but has a special need

to write about the injustices of society.  She’s developed fictional novels titled  The Other Side

of the Tracks and Journey to Heaven, the latter of which is being adapted into

a screenplay with film maker Dawn Kuisma.

She’s also recently agreed to co-write a non-fiction book tentatively titled, The Criminals

Defense, with noted military-gang expert and lecturer Hunter Glass, believing it’s the perfect

accompaniment to her own research into the Davis murder.

  • Listen to me, you the ones knowing righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Do not be afraid of the reproach of mortal men, and do not be struck with terror just because
of their abusive words. For the moth will eat them up just as if a garment, and the clothes moth will eat them up just as if wool. But as for my righteousness, it will prove to be even
to time indefinite, and my salvation to unnumbered generations.
    Isaiah 51:7,8
